She is a Big Sister

Your big sis, Little Mae, has been going into your room and turning on your lamp each night. It gives off the warmest most inviting light. We have found ourselves in there gathering as a family; I think it’s a way to feel closer to you even though you’re not here.

Yesterday and tonight Little Mae decided to read to us in your room; she was reading to you... she is becoming quite a great reader. It felt so nice to see her big sister skills coming out.

I’m so glad that we didn’t rush into taking down your things. It’s been so nice and comforting and I hope we can continue to have more moments like these.
