Happy birthday

Happy 1st birthday my sweet girl. Mommy loves you so much. We all miss you so very much. This is so hard. How I wish you could be here. Would you have straight hair like your sisters or little curls from your daddy? What would you laugh sound like? Would you take handfuls of your first cake or be delicate just tasting the frosting? Your sisters and I made a cake in your honor. Little Mae placed a piece by your picture. Your dad and I got tattoos in your memory. We spent the day together all wishing you could be here with us. Little Mae asked what your favorite foods would be. We guessed avocados and strawberries and maybe eggs. Little Mae wants to make a place to visit in our forest when we are missing you. It was a grey and rainy day today so we will wait until we get some sun to make that happen. We have a place for your magnolia tree that we were gifted last year, we just have to wait for the weather to warm up a bit before we plant it.

We are so grateful for you and the 7 days we had. We are so lucky to have so many photos to look back on. I wish it could be different though. I wish I could hold you and kiss you and tell you how much I love you. I know you’re looking down on us and know how much you are loved. I cannot believe its already been a year... This year for your birthday, we asked for gifts of donation in your name and for people to just do good. You gave so much in your short life and we want to continue to do good in your honor. You are our angel. We love you. Happy first heavenly birthday.
