A Letter From Sister

Dear Emma,

When winter break started I had found this in your big sister‘s (little Mae) backpack. Notice your little sister is in my belly in this picture. 💕 Your sister really misses you, as we all do.

She also drew this photo below and with the help of her teacher, turned it into note cards that she gave to us for Christmas.

The letter and cards broke me, but also made me so happy that your sister is able to grieve and express her emotions. I’m forever grateful that child life and our grief counselor showed us to be open and involve our children and allow them space to grieve and remember their sister. We talk of you often Emma and miss you so much. 💜
